Caroline S. Earle

Firm founder Caroline Earle has focused her career on providing legal advice and counsel to individuals, businesses, and government.  Caroline brings decades-long experience to bear in helping her clients with civil, employment, business, and estate planning and probate matters.  Caroline started her journey toward the law at Indiana University School of Law, graduating with a J.D. (cum laude) in 1993.  Since then, Caroline has practiced exclusively in Vermont in both the private and public sectors.  Caroline’s extensive trial experience, including her service as former Chief of the Civil Litigation Division with the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, means that her clients are well protected when their needs require litigation counsel in civil or probate court.  Caroline is the former Commissioner of Human Resources for the State of Vermont, which gives her a unique and beneficial perspective in representing both employers and employees throughout the state.  Caroline enjoys reducing the law to simplest terms for her clients and creating action plans that help clients navigate challenging legal terrain.  Caroline is also a dedicated Rotarian, having served as President of her local Rotary club in 2017-18.  Caroline will be proud to serve as District Governor for Rotary District 7850 in 2022-23, a district which includes Vermont, parts of New Hampshire and a small slice of Quebec. 

Robin A. Freeman

Robin A. Freeman brings a conscientious and engaging approach to his practice, which focuses in the areas of real estate, business counseling, and commercial and civil litigation.   Robin received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 1998 and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2001.  Since then, he has helped his clients successfully navigate countless business and real estate transactions by approaching their issues with a calming and resolution-oriented style.  Robin’s straightforward manner provides an understanding to his clients of their process and reassurance that their matters will be handled skillfully.  He has successfully litigated hundreds of cases, including numerous jury and bench trials and represented litigants in appellate courts in Vermont and throughout the country.  Robin also brings his flexibility and serenity to his work as a court appointed mediator in foreclosure matters.  When he is not serving his clients, Robin has volunteered his time to serve his community in many roles over the years, including service on local and regional School Boards, other local government committees and as a leader for several different youth organizations and other charity events.

Ria Leveret

Ria Leveret is the newest member of Earle & Freeman, PLC and has been with our team now for six months. They have a background in healthcare, having previously worked at a pharmacy, Covid-19 vaccine clinic, and a naturopathic doctor’s office. At E&F, Ria enjoys working with all of our clients on a variety of matters but especially enjoys assisting with probate cases & learning about the specifics of probate law. Outside of work, Ria has a passion for crocheting, roller skating, gardening, and learning about dermatology and skincare science.
